The concept

Coffee isn’t just a drink, it’s an adventure.

Tong blends bold flavors, playful vibes and creative energy to break the monotony of traditional cafés: a space for ideas, laughter and unforgettable moments.

Logo & illustration

A bold, funky handwritten logo and a cast of doodles led by the Coffee Rebel: loud, bold and never afraid to break the rules.

A clean, modern font keeps the body text easy to read, and a retro display face adds an urban edge to posters and merch.

Café branding questions

Straight answers before you book a call.

How do you build a coffee shop brand?

Start with the feeling you want people to leave with, then build every piece from it. Tong’s idea was “coffee isn’t just a drink, it’s an adventure”, so we drew a bold handwritten logo and a cast of doodles led by the Coffee Rebel, then carried them onto cups, wrapping paper, merch, posters and the shopfront. We work in four steps: discovery, strategy, identity and handover. A full brand identity takes 4–10 weeks.

What should a coffee shop brand identity include?

A logo, colors and type, plus the things customers hold and see: cups, bags, wrapping, signage, merch and social posts. Tong’s identity has a handwritten red logo, illustrations, a clean font for body text and a retro display face for posters, then cups, bags, boxes, a tote, a t-shirt, a business card, posters and a billboard. Our identity projects hand over brand guidelines (PDF) and a Figma library with the source files.

Can you design cups and packaging for a café?

Yes. Café packaging design takes 2–4 weeks on its own, or it can be part of a brand identity. For Tong we designed red cups, a paper bag, a tote, pattern paper for wrapping sandwiches and boxes, and a branded pour-over dripper, so the brand is easy to spot in a hand or on a street. Every project starts with a free 30-minute call, then a fixed written proposal.

How much does coffee shop brand identity cost?

It depends on scope: strategy, logo, guidelines and the applications you need, such as signage, packaging or a website. After a free 30-minute call you get a written quote for your exact scope. Our guide to brand identity pricing explains what drives the cost.

How long does a brand identity project take?

A focused logo project takes a few weeks. A full identity with guidelines and launch assets takes longer. You get a clear timeline with your quote, before any work starts.

Do you work with café and restaurant founders in the US and the Middle East?

Yes. We work with founders across the US and the Middle East, with calls in your time zone and files your team can use from day one.

What do we get at the end of the project?

A logo and mark, color and typography, brand guidelines and organized master files, plus any website, packaging or launch assets in your scope.
