Arabic and English brands
for Khamis Mushait’s shops and cafés.
For a shop, café or food maker that needs a brand designer in Khamis Mushait, I design the Arabic and English as one brand, drawn for a souq stall, a shopfront and a pack on a supermarket shelf. I work remotely, with calls and weekly check-ins in Saudi working hours (UTC+3). After a free 30-minute call you get a fixed written proposal with one price, the timeline and the deliverables. A logo takes 2–4 weeks and a brand identity 4–10 weeks.

Aseer’s trading city, and what a brand needs there
Khamis Mushait is Aseer’s traditional trading center, with a central position on the main roads that link the province to the rest of the Kingdom. At the 2022 census it was Aseer’s most populous governorate, with 601,305 residents, about 37% of them foreign nationals. Souq Khamis Mushait sells janbiyas alongside livestock and dates, and the city’s urban expansion has added hotels, furnished apartments and tourist services.
So a Khamis Mushait brand has to read at a glance in Arabic on a souq stall or a shopfront, work for Saudi and non-Saudi customers and for visitors alike, and still hold up on a pack or a menu that leaves Aseer. I work remotely as a brand identity designer for businesses in Khamis Mushait and have no office there. The guide to designing a bilingual Arabic–English brand shows one lockup carried from a shop sign to a shopping bag.
- Work back from EidThe Saudi Press Agency reported janbiya demand surging at Souq Khamis Mushait during Eid al-Fitr in 2024. If your trade peaks with a season like that, work back from it: a logo takes 2–4 weeks and a brand identity 4–10 weeks, before bags, labels and the stall sign go to print.
- A new industrial city at Al-HafeerIn December 2023, MODON began developing the Second Aseer Industrial City at Al-Hafeer Center, northwest of Khamis Mushait. Its 11 industrial domains include food, wood and furniture, and clothing and textiles. A maker selling to wholesalers and shops needs one identity for a carton, a catalog and a retail pack.
- Visitors spend on food and staysAseer drew about 7.5 million visitors in 2024, and an Abha Chamber study found that 80% of local tourist spending in the region goes on accommodation, food and drink. For a café, restaurant or food brand in Khamis Mushait, the cup, the bag and the sign are seen by visitors as well as regulars.
- Settle the Arabic name before the signSince April 3, 2025, an English trade name is allowed, but it is registered with an Arabic transliteration and compared with other names through that Arabic. A name too close to another business’s is refused whatever that business does, so agree the Arabic spelling before a stall sign, a cup or a bag goes to print.
- Shop signs answer to the municipalityShop and vehicle signs fall under the Aseer Province Municipality in Abha and the Khamis Mushait municipality beneath it, and the national sign rules apply classical Arabic to advertising text. Commercial license services run through Balady, so settle the sign wording before the sign maker starts.

Questions founders ask
Do you have an office or a team in Khamis Mushait?
No. I work remotely with businesses in Khamis Mushait and have no office or local team in Aseer. Saudi Arabia keeps UTC+3 all year with no daylight saving, so the free first call and the weekly check-ins sit inside your working hours, and your own sign maker and printer work from the files and guidelines I hand over.
How is a brand identity different from a quick logo order?
A logo order gives you a mark. A brand identity starts with Discovery and Strategy, designs the Arabic and English as one system with right-to-left layouts for your sign, cups and packs, and hands over brand guidelines (PDF), a Figma library with source files and full ownership, with two revision rounds per phase. It takes 4–10 weeks; if you only need the mark, logo design takes 2–4 weeks.
Will the Arabic be designed as carefully as the English?
Yes. As a visual identity designer for Khamis Mushait businesses (مصمم هوية بصرية في خميس مشيط), I design the Arabic with the English from the start: Arabic-first type, right-to-left layouts and a logo that works in both scripts. One limit to know: the naming service covers name ideas, domain and social checks and a preliminary trademark search, not an Arabic–English meaning check.
Who registers my business and my trademark?
Your commercial registration is with the Ministry of Commerce. Since April 3, 2025, one registration covers every region, with no expiry date and an annual data confirmation. Balady, the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing portal, handles commercial license services. Your lawyer files the trademark with the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property; trademark filing is not part of a design project, and I hand over clean files for it.
How long does a brand identity, a rebrand or packaging take?
A brand identity takes 4–10 weeks, a rebrand 6–12 weeks, and packaging design or a logo 2–4 weeks. A brand identity runs through Discovery, Strategy, Identity and Handover, and every project has two revision rounds per phase and weekly check-ins in your working hours.
How much does branding cost for a business in Khamis Mushait?
It depends on the scope: a logo for one souq stall is a different project from a food range with packaging, a shopfront and vehicle livery, in Arabic and English. After a free 30-minute call you get a fixed written proposal with one price, and the price never changes mid-project.
Is the work on this page from Khamis Mushait?
No, and I don’t present any of them as a Khamis Mushait client; I chose them for the trade, not the place. Tong, a coffee shop, shows a shopfront and cups; Bright Fizz (soda cans) and ChocoBloom (chocolate packaging for France) show packs built for a shelf; Vosho, a furniture brand identity, is my closest work to wood and furniture, one of the industrial domains planned for the Second Aseer Industrial City at Al-Hafeer.
