Al KhobarUpdated

Your Al Khobar brand,
designed remotely in two scripts.

If you are looking for a brand designer in Al Khobar for a café, a shop or a B2B firm, I work remotely with businesses there on brand identity, packaging, rebranding and logos, with the Arabic and English designed as one brand. The same identity may have to hold up on a waterfront shopfront, a takeaway cup and a tender deck for a buyer across the causeway. Calls and weekly check-ins run in your working hours (UTC+3), and after a free 30-minute call you get a fixed written proposal.

What an Al Khobar brand has to work for

Al Khobar is a coastal city of 409,549 people at the 2022 census, part of one urban area with Dammam, Dhahran and Qatif, and Saudi Aramco is headquartered in neighboring Dhahran. The King Fahd Causeway, the only land link between Saudi Arabia and Bahrain since 1986, starts at Aziziyah, south of the city. In the wider Al Khobar Governorate, 448,818 of the 658,550 residents counted in 2022 were non-Saudi, and Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University, founded in Al Khobar in 2006, teaches in English.

So one Khobar brand may need to speak to an energy company’s procurement team, a family on the corniche and a visitor arriving over the causeway, in Arabic and English. For a real example of one name in two scripts, on a shop sign and shopping bags, see Lacio (لاسيو), a sewing and lace supplies shop in Iraq, in my guide to bilingual Arabic–English brands.

  • The waterfront is the shop windowThe Khobar Corniche runs for about 12 km, and the investment contract for the area around the Al-Khobar Water Tower, signed in January 2023, plans for restaurants and cafés, shops, a cinema and a marina. On a waterfront like this, signs, cups and bags are seen up close, so they need the same care as the logo.
  • Shop signs go through Al-Khobar MunicipalityUnder the national Regulatory Rules for Advertising Signs, shop signs and signs on commercial vehicles are regulated by municipal secretariats and municipalities, and advertising must apply the rules of classical Arabic. In Al Khobar that means the Eastern Province Amana and its Al-Khobar Municipality.
  • Selling across the causewayThe 25 km causeway puts Bahrain within reach, but a SAIP registration covers Saudi Arabia only. Saudi Arabia has been in WIPO’s Madrid System since October 8, 2026, and Bahrain since 2005, so one international application can also cover Bahrain. If you sell or tender there, ask your lawyer early.
  • An English trade name needs its Arabic twinSince April 3, 2025, a company can register its trade name in English, and one commercial registration covers every region. The regulations require an accompanying Arabic transliteration for English names, so the Arabic wordmark on your shopfront deserves the same care as the English.
  • Trademarks are filed with SAIPYour trademark goes to the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property, which examines each application and, if it is approved, publishes it for opposition before registration. Protection lasts ten years and can be renewed. Your lawyer files it; I hand over clean files of the Arabic and English marks.
  • The Asian Cup arrives in January 2027The AFC Asian Cup runs from January 7 to February 5, 2027, in three cities, Al Khobar among them. The new Aramco Stadium, future home of Al Qadsiah FC, is one of its venues and will host 2034 FIFA World Cup games. A brand identity takes 4–10 weeks before signs and cups go to print, so count back from January.

Questions founders ask

Do you have an office in Al Khobar?

No. I work remotely with businesses in Al Khobar and have no office or local team there. Saudi Arabia keeps Arabia Standard Time (UTC+3) all year with no clock changes, so the free first call and the weekly check-ins sit in your working hours.

Can you be my visual identity designer in Al Khobar, in Arabic and English?

Yes, remotely: if you searched for مصمم هوية بصرية في الخبر, this is the work I do. For the UAE and Saudi Arabia I design Arabic and English versions of the name, logo and type so they work as one brand, including right-to-left layouts. In Al Khobar that means the Arabic version of your trade name and the sign lockups it appears in. Have a native speaker and your lawyer confirm the Arabic wording you register.

My Khobar café or shop has traded for years. Do I need a rebrand or a refresh?

As a rebranding specialist I start with what customers already recognize. If the name and sign still work but the look feels dated, a brand refresh takes 3–6 weeks and keeps what they know. If the offer or audience has changed, a rebrand takes 6–12 weeks and runs through Discovery, Strategy, Identity and Handover, with two revision rounds per phase and weekly check-ins in UTC+3.

Can you file my trademark with SAIP?

No. Trademark filing is not part of a design project: your lawyer files it with the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property, and I hand over clean files. If you also sell in Bahrain, ask your lawyer about protecting the mark there too, either with Bahrain’s IP office in its Ministry of Industry and Commerce or through WIPO’s Madrid System, in force for Saudi Arabia since October 8, 2026. My naming service includes a preliminary SAIP trademark search.

How much does a brand identity cost for an Al Khobar business?

It depends on the scope: how many places the brand has to work on day one, from shop signs and cups to uniforms and decks, and whether both scripts are designed together. After a free 30-minute call you get a fixed written proposal with one price, the timeline and the deliverables, and the price never changes mid-project.

Are the projects on this page from Al Khobar?

No. I chose them for their sector, not their location, and none of them is presented as an Al Khobar client. They are my closest real work to the café, retail and B2B activity on this page: Tong, a coffee shop; Bright Fizz, soda cans; ZAYAN, solar energy; and ROMO Logistics, transport. All four are English-script work; my Arabic–English example is Lacio, in the bilingual brand guide.
